Nicole Lei , DDS

Dr. Nicole Lei was born and raised on Long Island. She grew up in the quaint town of East Setauket and went to Stony Brook University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology. She then attended the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with a distinction in research. In addition, she completed her General Practice Residency at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where she served as chief resident in her second year of the program. She is a pre-clinical professor and teaches the first year dental students in their dental morphology and operative dentistry courses.

Dr. Lei is very passionate about lifelong learning and dental research. She is currently working towards her PhD in Oral Biology and Pathology at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She has been involved with dental research for the past 10 years and is well versed in the newest technology including intraoral scanning, designing and milling crowns. Research is an integral part of her approach to dentistry which allows her to offer the best evidence-based care to her patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the International Association for Dental Research and Suffolk Dental Society.

Dr. Lei's goals include providing the highest level of dental care to her patients and making sure the patient is as comfortable as possible in a dental setting. She looks forward to getting to know her patients and helping them achieve the best possible oral health. She wants her patients to leave the office with a healthy and confident smile.

Her favorite pastimes include spending time with her husband and 3 cats, Patches, Calypso and Oscar, who provide endless entertainment. She also enjoys gardening, crocheting and visiting her local library.
